LEAGUE RULES AND PLAY FORMAT

The league consists of 2 person teams and each week players will play 2 doubles, 1 doubles tie breaker and 2 sets of singles. The first match will be doubles and will begin at 8:30am. All sets will be (no add) first to 6 games. AT 5 all a 7 point tie breaker will be played to determine the winner.

The visitor team will serve first on the singles matches and the home team will serve first on the doubles matches. Each set win will be worth 1 point, so each week there will be 5 points up for grabs. We will give prizes out for each league at the beginning of the round robin play on the last week. 1st and 2nd place teams will receive a prize (yet to be determined). We will also be keeping track of who wins the most singles play points during the league, and that person will receive special recognition.

·        “Friend on Court” rules should be observed.

·        A 5 minute warm-up period is allowed at the start of play. Teams not ready to play at 8:30 will forfiet their 1 set.

·        Teams using substitute players will receive ½ points for the match

·        Any rule questions not covered in this document will be decided by the ACTA Adult Coordinator.

The cost of the 8 week session is $25.00 per person. Balls, refreshments, and prizes will be provided. We look forward to a very fun and exciting 2008 adult league season with our new singles/doubles play format that we are confident will improve the level of every ones play.

And as always ACTC is a volunteer run organization and we welcome help with set up on Saturday mornings before league play begins and with tear down when league play is over for the day. Thank you for your support.
